Ten out of ten San Franciscans deserve paid sick days, but not all of us get them.
What do 116,000 working San Franciscans do when they cannot take a sick day to care for themselves or for their familiy's health?
They send their children to school sick. They forgo preventative healthcare. They go to work sick because there is no bettor option. Because they have to.
Until now.
Until Prop F.
Working families deserve paid sick days.

All San Franciscans deserve to live in a city that is:

  • Fair:Paid sick days give workers time to heal and recuperate from illness.
  • Healthy:Paid sick days reduce the spread of contagious diseases in the workplace, especially in restaurants, hospitals, and childcare centers.
  • Compassionate:Paid sick days allow workers to care for their children, elderly parents, and family members when they are sick.

How paid sick days will work under Prop F:

  • Every worker in San Francisco will earn one hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked.
  • Workers may use their paid sick leave to care for themselves, their families and their partners.
  • Big businesses will provide up to 9 days or 72 hours while small businesses will provide up to 5 days or 40 hours.
